Commercial Banking (CB) serves more than 30,000 clients, including corporations, municipalities, financial institutions, and not-for-profit entities with annual revenues generally ranging from $20 million to $2 billion. Wholesale Lending Services (WLS) is part of the JPMorgan Chase Commercial Bank providing loan servicing support to multiple business units across the firm and around the world. The Operation provides loan documentation; closing and funding; payment and fee processing; syndication loan trade processing; credit administration; collateral perfection and management, customer service and reporting; and construction management.


  • Conduct collateral file reviews and prepare/mark-up schedules, including loans with Consolidation Extension Modification Agreements (CEMAs)
  • Prepare commercial loan documents accurately and with high attention to detai l
o Assignments/Allonges
o Lost Document Affidavits
o Loan/Note Sale documentation
o Any other documentation required
  • Research and obtain outstanding recorded loan documents via verbal and written requests to third parties (clients, vendors, title companies)
  • Quality review of recorded loan documents to ensure accuracy and confirm lien position
  • Obtain outstanding title policies from title companies and review to ensure accuracy and confirm lien position
  • Assist with monitoring general mailboxes and workflow
  • Assist with escalated issues and requests
  • Provide back-up support for peers
  • Perform notary duties
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager/team lead
  • Manage time and workload to ensure firm deadlines are met in a fast paced, high volume environment


  • 3 years' experience preparing real estate legal loan documents including familiarity with jurisdictional differences (preferably commercial and including experience with CEMAs)
  • 2 years' experience in quality review of legal loan documents (preferably commercial) and title policies
  • Expert understanding of commercial real estate loan documentation, especially as it pertains to chain of title
  • Production-oriented with a quality focus
  • Thinks critically and independently
  • Multi-tasks and sets/adjusts accurate priorities
  • Exhibits excellent verbal/written skills
  • Exhibits strong organization skills
  • Exhibits great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrate professional behavior and teamwork
  • Strong PC skills in Windows-based and Microsoft suite applications
  • Must be willing to interact verbally (phone) and in writing (email) with third parties (clients, vendors, title companies) and in a professional manner
  • Must exhibit high sense of urgency while maintaining quality
  • Must be able to lift 25LBs (boxes/files)
  • Must be (or be able to become) a Notary in the State of Texas
