This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems
  • Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages such as Java/J2EE, core API's, Web Services, SOA, XML and more.
  • Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies and best practices
  • Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture


As an experienced/hands-on Application Developer, you will be tasked with developing quality applications confirming to all the "-ibilities" (maintainability, scalability, extensibility, etc.) and the firm's architectural standards.

Qualified candidates should have proven expertise in analytics, design, development, coding, testing support and passion for developing next generation solution. Willing to learn and embrace new technologies and motivate the team.
Qualifications:
  • 15 years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on application development, demonstrated experience with applications development throughout the entire development lifecycle.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Java/J2EE with a deep understanding of the language and core API's, web services, multi-threaded/concurrent programming, XML, design patterns, Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Work with a team that develops smart and scalable solutions and provide a solid experience for our users.
  • Converse fluently in the full web-technology stack.
  • Develop an understanding of our products and the problems we are attempting to solve. Go beyond working from requirements... help architect the system and experience and ship production ready code early and often in a Scrum shop.
  • Help us grow our platform with clever, long-lasting solutions that serve to grow our business.

  • Plan, design, test, debug and deploy software solutions for managing infrastructure, project management, capacity planning, and operational efficiencies
  • Leverage large amounts of machine, performance, application and inventory data to create a unique representation
  • Analyze infrastructure problems/constraints, inefficiencies, process gaps, risk and regulatory issues and engineer software or automation solutions
  • Work in partnership with infrastructure engineers and architects to understand and identify operational improvements
  • Automate complex functions to improve the delivery of information
  • Partner with a global infrastructure division to innovate solutions
  • Java Development: ability to create medium to large sized Java web applications from start to finish on their own This includes but is not limited to the following: client interaction, validating requirements, system design, frontend/U development, interaction with a Java EE application server, web services, experience with the various Java EE APIs, development builds, application deployments, integration/enterprise testing, and support of applications within a production environment.
  • BS in Computer Science or similar technical degree with 5 years of experience
  • Strong Core Java knowledge.
  • Strong Java Web Application development.
  • Spring is a framework of choice.
  • Strong RDBMS understanding
  • Solid understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) principles.
  • Experience with development in Big Data environment (including but not limited to Hadoop, Elastic Search, Map Reduce, Hive, Kafka, storm, HBase, Elastic Search, Spark, mongoDB, Cassandra) is strong plus
  • Very good knowledge on JSON/AJAX/HTML/CSS along with object oriented JavaScript frameworks (jQuery/Angular JS/Ember)
  • Very interested and passionate about new technologies
  • You can write well-abstracted, reusable and efficient code and correctly employ design patterns
  • New and emerging technologies excite you, but you are mindful enough to employ the right solutions for the right problems.
  • Java related experience with
  • REST/JSON/XML Web APIs Development experience.
  • Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security
  • Testing frameworks - Cucumber, Selenium, JUnit. Must have practical experience with unit testing including deep understanding of Mock Testing Frameworks like EasyMock or Mockito
  • Broad and deep understanding of multiple application server platforms including Apache Tomcat
  • SQL & Database - Oracle, Cassandra, HBase
  • Java performance tuning, debugging & Profiling Tools
  • Code Repositories: SVN, GIT/Bitbucket
  • Experience with development in Big Data environment (including but not limited to Hadoop, Elastic Search, Map Reduce, Hive, Kafka, storm, HBase, Elastic Search, Spark, MongoDB, Cassandra) is strong plus

  • Be self-driven, ability to work independently or with multiple teams.
  • SOA based architecture and Microservices
  • Experience with latest Dev ops toolings/processes


Desired/Additional skills:

- Big data technologies(Kafka, Spark, Storm, Hadoop, HDFS, Solr)

- Familiarity with UI technologies must(JQuery, ReactJS, Bootstrap, etc.), Scala, Python

- Cloudera, or Horton works

- Cloud/AWS

- Scrum master certification
