Analyst Consultant

Preferred location is Mason, OH

The Analyst Consultant is responsible for serving as Business proxy and subject matter expert on mid to large complex projects leading the business analysis and requirements gathering process in an Agile Scrum collaborative manner. Primary duties to include but are not limited to:
  • Defines the analysis and requirement management approach and process partnering with project execution roles and requirement owners.
  • Leads elicitation of requirements in user story format through an iterative and collaborative process of planning, defining acceptance criteria, prioritizing, and reviewing results for adherence to business objectives
  • Responsible for requirement readiness
  • Responsible for maintaining requirement accuracy, execution traceability, and quality metrics.
  • Proactively support the voice of the customer to mitigate risk by influencing and accelerating results via strong domain and business process knowledge.
  • Responsible to project execution roles to articulate the business value of the business objectives through user story refinement and prioritization.
  • Responsible to work with the Business Process Owners and Architects to identify critical data to be used for solutioning.
  • Applies end-to-end (functional & non-functional) big picture thinking to shape overall initiative
  • Participates in Product Roadmap planning and all phases of the SDLC.
  • Contributes to the development of operational readiness documentation, and training materials to support rollout, adoption, and use of the system/functionality, as needed.
  • May provide support during the integration and acceptance testing phases and implementation.
  • Adheres to the Anthem Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Anticipates and identifies process improvements opportunities within the day-to-day project work and organization processes.
  • Apply Agile principles and mindset to accomplish deliverables and communication.
  • Acts as a change advocate and is a role model to others when adapting to different work styles, processes, tools and communications.

Requires a BS/BA degree; 6-8 years of experience to include business analysis, healthcare product/plan development; Scaled Agile; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. Minimal travel once a quarter may be required.
